Not a super smart thing to do

Not all national park mishaps involve wildlife.  Many people die in national parks every year trying to get a good photo or experience.  Ultimately, you are responsible for your own (and your youngster’s) safety–and you should follow the rules if signs say to stay on the trails.

Here’s an example of a risky situation in Olympic National Park:
